The crash happened near his home in Townsville, Queensland, at 10.30pm on Saturday.
Symonds’ family has confirmed his death and thanked friends and fans for their sympathy and support.
His death comes just weeks after sporting legend Shane Warne suffered a fatal heart attack in Thailand.
