Why shouldn’t South Sydney touch Anthony Milford in a fight with his friend, even though the former Bronco attack charge has been dropped?

  • Former Broncos star Anthony Milford is unlikely to play in the NRL this season
  • A Brisbane court on Monday dismissed three charges of assault
  • NRL, to start its own research, suggested Milford sign with the Dolphins for 2023
  • Wayne Bennett is the new competition franchise coach, also close to Milford

Fallen NRL star Anthony Milford was acquitted of three assault charges in a Brisbane court on Monday – but don’t expect to see him in the South Sydney jersey this season.

Now with the legal issue behind him, many Futi fans have speculated that the 27-year-old will join Jason Demetriu’s Rabitohs in the coming weeks after signing an agreement with the Rabitohs after leaving the Broncos last year.

Newcastle was also a reported option, only for the NRL as they begin their own investigation into the incident.

Due to security footage from the infamous Brisbane Party Spot Fortitude Valley around 2am on September 20 last year, the South are reluctant to sign Milford. Sydney Morning Herald.

Vision – which was played on the court – showed Milford forcibly grabbing his partner, Miri Fay, before he fell and hit his head on the concrete.

He managed to avoid conviction in court on Monday for lack of evidence, but will have to pay $ 2371 in damages for repairing the car.

Milford was also placed on a two-year good behavior bond.

On the night of the question, Milford smashed the car window when he threw the wheel bin into the road using ‘some force’.

His defense barrister, Kim Bryson, called the insult “misunderstanding” after a fight broke out between Milford and his friends over alcohol in a nightclub.

‘Mr Milford said he could and should have made other choices that night,’ she argued.

Dolphin coach Wayne Bennett is a big fan of Milford, and is set to offer a deal at Radcliffe with the new NRL franchise for 2023 – and possibly later.

The pair have been close together since their time together in the Broncos, with Bennett overseeing the deal that saw Milford rewarded with a million-dollar-a-season contract at Red Hill, which expired last year.
